They live in Goshen and we went to Warwick to shop and eat -- it's a great town for a day trip. Food was great, ice tea was cold, and the blueberry crumble was divine. Afternoon Tea experiences last up to 1hr 30mins and are available on selected dates and times throughout the year. Today the cream of carrot soup was delicious. Each tea pot was of a different shape and size and the food was served on black toile plates.
Nice to see things here are still the same. Truly, one of my best times ever. Thanks to the owner for always making us feel especially welcomed. Included with my tea party was a cold cranberry scone with what I thought was lemon curd, but it turned out to be a congealed heart shaped pat of butter see attached picture. It is nice to see the building back to being a lovely homey atmosphere rather than offices and that the name Charlotte's is still an attraction on Oakland Avenue. I had such trouble choosing, but the menu was wonderfully descriptive which greatly aided my ability to narrow down my choices, and the waitress was happy to suggest choices she felt were suitable for my meal.
Thanks to our waitress Mary. Thankyou Joanne for the magnificent addition to our village! Or if you prefer, let us cater your next luncheon or celebration. Everything was wonderful and beyond my expectations. Great job joanne, amanda, guy and mary! And thank you for your visit. We spent a couple of hours in a dream-like state listening to the birds and soaking up the charm of Warwick. I recommend getting the assortment of tea sandwiches. Their seasonal tea was Cranberry Autumn.
I Had the pleasure of attending a baby shower last month at this tea room and was thrilled to finally try it. It is a true escape from the craziness of everyday life and the rigidity of adulthood. I also had Paris tea served in the most beautiful dishware. I and a close friend had lunch at Charlotte's last Sunday, and I was admittedly timid that it could not live up to my high expectations. JoAnn was very helpful as I planned the event and every detail was taken care of. I just love taking time and enjoying this place. Thank you, Joanne and your wonderful staff.
The quiche of the day fabulous. All it would have taken was a gentle reminder. Obviously I'm not the only one who thinks she is a nice person! I am not a tea drinker, but I could have sat and relaxed on their porch all afternoon. The food is delicious and the staff always attentive. This place has become a Sullivan Family 'go to' for anything worth celebrating - Birthdays, Mother's Day, or just any day you want to feel special. For instance, the food is very basic yet it is good, the teas offered are minimal, and the wait staff is nice but not overly enthusiastic.
Fortunately I was proven wrong time and again, first by the beautiful decor and charming waiter ; and then by the most delicious quiche I have ever had. The seasonal squash soup, chicken pot pie and vegetable paninis were lovely. I guess during the all of the excitement, the candle lighting got away from us. Thank you again Joanne and Mary!! I live in Vernon but pass thru Warwick often but had not made a point to stop in - i just visited again today with 2 girlfriends and we all really liked it - nice setting, sweet wait staff and yes, great tea - i have had tea at The Plaza in Manhattan but left there hungry. The food is to die for and the staff goes the extra mile to make everything perfect. Thank you ladies for creating such a special place.
We left hungry and annoyed that we were ripped off. The tea sandwiches offered are unique and tasty, and the teas are always good. So my party and I enjoyed the air conditioning and some cool lemonade. Hope you got the rest you deserved after such a busy day! The moment I opened the menu, my face scrunched up in disgust. Tearoom response: Sep 22, 2009 In response to each and every one of you who have taken the time and written such wonderful thoughts and messages to us, I must say words cannot express just how happy you make me feel.
Thank you Charlotte's - my neighborhood haunt. The presumably pre-made tea sandwiches took another 30 minutes to appear and no apologies were offered. One was pleasant and warm and the other young lady was a bit more aloof if not seemingly unapproachable. The lemon coconut cake was the perfect clean finish to our lunch. My spinach quiche was so good, as was my friends trophy wife salad. And both times, Joanne personally checked to see if we were happy with how everything was.
